“You’ve gotta listen to this one song, it’ll change your life” (Garden State)
Ten songs that make me feel that way (and I'm limiting myself to ten because this list could go on forever... but I have thought very hard about the ten that are listed)... they are in no particular order
One Crowded Hour (Single Mix) – Augie March (I heard this song for the first time just about a year ago... and according to my iTunes I've listened to this song on my laptop 94 times and it has yet to get old... that's not counting listening to it on my ipod)
Happy Ending – Mika (I originally put Any Other World by Mika here but changed it last minute)
Land of a Thousand Words – Scissor Sisters (another slow sad song... sorry it's a good one)
Heartbeats – The Knife (first heard the cover of this song by Jose Gonzalez on a commercial and then randomly heard this version while waiting for a concert to start)
We Used to Vacation – Cold War Kids (insane!!! By far one of my favorite songs ever)
Woman King – Iron & Wine (a little bit different than the others)
You Are the One – Shiny Toy Guns (this gets stuck in my head so much)
Dying Is Fine – Ra Ra Riot – BUT and this is a really really big but… only the older version – it was way more intense. i haven't heard it since high school (yes they have an original version but I can’t find it and it’s bugging the crap out of me – they changed it for their album)
Golden Slumbers – The Beatles
Postcards from Italy – Beirut (89 plays on my iTunes and so many more listening in my car)

after years of being completely indecisive i've finally come to a decision... favorite band: Cold War Kids
favorite song: Ottoman by Vampire Weekend
no longer when people ask me what my favorite band is will i stutter and throw out some random band names
all though... knowing me, this will probably change tomorrow

Brand Identity or Not
The other day I had to purchase my own toilet paper for the first time in my life for my first apartment... YAY I'm growing up. Well I got to the store and was thoroughly confused. I had not idea what kind of toilet paper my mom used to get and I don't trust those bears. So in order to choose, I picked the character on the package that I trusted the most. The bears were out... I hate those bears. Plus I read Hey Whipple Squeeze This. Then there was the baby. Babies freak me out. Then I found the one with the puppy. SOLD! But there was the puppy and the sleeping puppy. Sleeping puppies are just softer in my opinion.

1. i'm missing my Blondie cd terribly
2. the Nick and Norah's infinite playlist sound track is awesome
3. i've decided i'm devoting my summer to making the most glorious mixes ever... when i'm not working of course
this has nothing to do with any of what i just said
